HYCORE to Unveil Autonomous Personal Mobility at MWC 2025

5 Mar 2025

HYCORE (CEO Donghyun Park, Minsu Hwang) has announced that it will showcase its AI autonomous personal mobility solution at the world’s largest IT and telecommunications exhibition, Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, to be held from March 3 to 6 in Barcelona, Spain. The company will be presenting this innovative product in collaboration with ModelSolution, a global innovation hardware platform company and subsidiary of Korea & Company Group.

At MWC, HYCORE will debut the AI autonomous personal mobility solution jointly developed with ModelSolution. This product will begin a trial service at Incheon International Airport in September of this year, with plans for mass production after the completion of the demonstration. Visitors to the MWC booth will have the opportunity to experience the product firsthand.

The AI autonomous personal mobility, which will be showcased at MWC, is designed to operate within the expanded section of Terminal 2 at Incheon International Airport. It allows users to travel with a loaded carrier from the duty-free area to their final destination autonomously, providing a convenient transportation solution. This mobility device is particularly useful for individuals with limited mobility and travelers with young children, offering greater efficiency for moving within the airport. Additionally, it features an automatic return function, further enhancing user convenience after reaching the destination.

HYCORE will also unveil cutting-edge AI autonomous driving technology, control systems, and communication systems for smart cities at MWC. These technologies are expected to play a critical role in ensuring safe and efficient movement, helping to establish a secure transportation environment within smart cities.

HYCORE has continuously advanced AI-based personal mobility technologies, collaborating with major corporations such as KT, Hyundai Motor, and Hankook Tire to develop autonomous electric wheelchairs and smart mobility solutions. In June, HYCORE signed a partnership agreement with Hyundai Motor and Incheon International Airport Corporation to conduct a demonstration for people with limited mobility at Incheon Airport. In August, HYCORE and ModelSolution also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly develop AI robot mobility prototypes and work toward mass production.

A representative from HYCORE stated, "The AI autonomous personal mobility device holds great market potential in conjunction with the growth of the smart city and silver care industries, driven by the expansion of smart cities and the aging population. HYCORE plans to strengthen its competitiveness in both domestic and international markets based on these technologies."
