HYCORE and the Korea Spinal Cord Injury Association (hereafter referred to as the Spinal Cord Injury Association) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the 12th to develop mobility technology aimed at securing the mobility rights and expanding the living space for people with spinal cord injuries.
Through this agreement, HYCORE and the Spinal Cord Injury Association will collaborate on the development and testing of mobility technology for individuals with spinal cord injuries, as well as jointly promote projects supporting rehabilitation and welfare for people with spinal cord injuries.
HYCORE CEO Donghyun Park stated, "Through this agreement, we will do our best to ensure that people with spinal cord injuries can lead freer and more independent lives through advanced technologies such as autonomous wheelchairs." He added, "By leveraging AI-based personal mobility technology, we will lead the development of innovative mobility solutions like autonomous wheelchairs and closely collaborate with the Spinal Cord Injury Association to enhance the mobility rights of people with disabilities."
Spinal Cord Injury Association President Jinwan Jeong expressed, "I am very pleased that through our collaboration with HYCORE, we will be able to develop technologies that practically support the mobility rights and rehabilitation of people with spinal cord injuries. I hope that innovative mobility solutions with cutting-edge technology will help people with spinal cord injuries regain their freedom of movement."
